If you're going for comfort, you go with Adidas. You don't get Jordan's for an everyday shoe. If you're not a fan of Adidas, get any kind of Fly Knit Nike runner/racer. Fly Knit is just the Nike version of Prime Knit, only downside is that you won't have the boost.
Give me your size, price range and desired colors. I can find you some good choices.

Well, Jordan's are a Nike brand.
But if you're not a sneaker head and you're looking for a good pair to start
I always recommend the Jordan One's. They come in like 250 colorways and you can easily find something you like for between 90 and 120 bucks.
Or if you want to grab a pair of Nike's, roshes' or air max's are a good starting point.
Your taste matters a lot when it comes to shoes.

Personally I like them both evenly.
I own shoes from both brands, actually ordered me a pair earlier.

Depends, you gunna play a lot of basketball? If not I wouldn't get jordans only because they are for basketball and look like basketball shoes.
Nike however has a bunch of lines of shoes that don't look like basketball shoes.
