Hey yall I'm just looking for advice on what to upgrade to with what I have now.
PSU - 500watt
GPU - GeForce GTX 750ti
RAM - 4gb of Hyper x Ram (DDR3)
What's a reasonable upgrade from these? My friends told me to get a 600 or 750 watt power supply so I'm probably gonna follow their advice on that. The others I have no clue what to upgrade to. Right now I mainly play Rust, Pubg, and Skyrim. I run them all at low to medium because I don't mind graphics that much lol.
no i'm not buying a 1080ti, i am le broke boy with a budget of $450 fer parts rn.
If you could just recommend RAM and a gucci PSU then that'll be fine too.
thank u, i love u all

I'd advise at least 8GB of RAM. But 16GB would be great for you.

I'd settle on a 1060 maybe for the GPU. Cheap and works.

PSU wise I'd lean for something better like 700 - 800 for room for later.

In total around 500 USD.

No need for a 750W PSU. 500W is more than enough. It's the quality that matters. What is the make and model of your current PSU? Even if it's low quality, you could easily get a decent replacement for $50-60.
What CPU and motherboard do you have?
What case do you have? Make and model?
What's your storage like? You'll most likely want to add an SSD.
If you're fine with how your system is currently performing, why the upgrade? No need to spend money if you don't want to and it isn't necessary.

Part of the reason I want to upgrade is because of this issues I've been having. I made a forum about it on tomshardware and I got a response saying I need a new PSU. I bought my PC off of someone and I asked them about it and they said for me to upgrade the RAM.
Here's the link for the issue I was having - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you're gonna ask if it beeped after the restart. It does and it only does it once. It's a short beep.

1 short beep when powering on usually means the system is fine, no issues. However, it could mean there is an issue with RAM. So, PSU isn't necessarily the issue here. Considering you haven't told us the make and model though, I'm just going to assume it's shit tier and should be replaced. In which case, here;

Absolutely no need to waste $100+ on PSU.
I also wouldn't be spending more than $50 or so for RAM on a several generation old chipset. If you're buying new, I'd just get something like this and be done with it;

Although I'd also check out [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] because I've seen people selling 16GB kits of DDR3 for $60-75, which if you intend on keeping the Sandy Bridge i7 for a while, wouldn't be too bad.
Lastly, you'll definitely want to add an SSD, so here;

If you want a GPU upgrade, I'd say to grab yourself a used GTX 980 for around $200.
