I have a Razer Kraken 7.1 surround sound headset was £80 had it for 4 years and its never let me down. Sound quality is good the only downside is the ear holes are circular rather than oval so it can feel a bit uncomfortable after a few hours. I think theres a newer version out now I dont know the price tho.

Turtle beaches are your best bet. Good quality for the price, as opposed to Astros which i heard break pretty easily. If anything goes wrong Turtle beach's support team is usually really good too, but i've had two pairs for the past 5+ years and never had problems with either of them.

Almost all headsets with the label gaming are absolute garbage and are a waste of time with the exception of the HyperX Cloud II's. But you have a snowball so you should definitely be looking into something like this. With a budget like that you should really be investing into something audiophile grade along with an AMP/DAC to drive the headphones. Also almost all surround sound headsets are a gimmick and will be easily outclassed by any medium to high end stereo audiophile headphones.

With that said you should definitely look into 2 sets of openback headphones that are commonly used for gaming. The Sennheiser HD600 and the Beyerdynamic DT990. For your AMP and DAC look into the Schiit Magni 3 and Schiit Modi 2. If you want a combo unit to drive your headphones go for the Fulla 2 Here are some links.

IMO the best combo for the price would probably be the DT990's with the Fulla 2.

I know this is a pointless post but I just had to say to Potion, is that company supposed to be pronounced like "shit"? Surely they could've come up with a better name haha

Not potion, but yes. That is how you pronounce their company name. They did it on purpose because it's funny and people talk about it. Easy marketing. Also, they make super great products. Their name doesn't represent a lack of quality like some people poke fun at.
