I've been having problems with my PS4 and my wifi being trash. I have good internet and pulling about 100 mbps. But with me being in my room I pull like 2?? I'm not really sure why it's not any better than that. I can't even stream without lagging. Anyone have any good suggestions?

I'm trying to avoid that route unless I can somehow get the internet hooked up in my room.

You can buy these adapters, I have them and they're very good. You plug one in near your router and have an Ethernet cable going in to your router from this adapter, then you have another one near your console with the wire going from the adapter into your ps4 and it's the same as having it directly in your router.
They are called Trendnet powerline adapters

I used to use something similar to this, you plug one into an outlet near your router and connect it with a 3-4 ft ethernet, then connect your console to the other (in an outlet by your console) and the speed will be as if you're standing over your router.

Would you say it was worth the change? And what kind of internet speeds are you currently on?
I'm only on 30-40 mgbps but internet can be slow at times as my PC is upstairs, router is downstairs

Run Dial-up with an Ethernet cable instead of Wireless.
Don't use stock Router that comes from ISP - Internet Service Provider
Buy your own you will get better speeds for sure
