I know, with ninja as my name you'd expect decent play. But no. I'm horrendous. Let's start with the main things I struggle with.
1. Gun fights. - even if they don't build and have there back to me I still lose the fight. Whether I have shields or not. Which leads to the next;
2. Accuracy. - every game I've ever played I've had relatively good accuracy. COD (I know it's different but) I get around 34% accuracy with most weapons.
3. Building. - I've learnt the basics (editing, fast building etc) it irritates me that when in gun fights mine goes down in seconds there's takes a full clip.
Now, every game I've ever played only took around 24 hours to get used to & enjoy. This one just won't. I've had around 2 days game time and the only improvement that I feel is that I know the controls.
I'm starting to get really bored. Some times it takes up to 4 hours before I ever even get a kill whether it's with really good loot or bad loot I just can't seem to play it!
Please help?!

When building in gun fights use wood as it starts with a higher hp, but if you have time to build a base use stronger materials. You could also try to up your sensitivity to allow faster building and reaction time to enemies, and of course lower your ADS sensitivity to allow for more long range accuracy.

Honestly the only way your gonna improve is experience in this game, I've had I would say around about 100 hours of game time and I'm about above average since I'm getting top 10 in the majority of games.
I would say best thing to do is have a set load out and if your not good with some weapons don't use them i.e shotguns or snipers. Have at least some form of a quick healing item on you. Mini's preferably but if you can't get any, bandages will do.
When building go for wood or brick never metal since it can be destroyed in seconds, since it takes longer for it to build. unless obviously your not getting shot at then yeah sure go for metal.
Try your best to keep the higher ground and also try stay on the edge of the zone during the mid to end game since then you don't really have to focus on people coming up from behind.
Try looking at a few building techniques to help you build a bit faster and also try adapting to the pro build setting if your on console like i am it helps out a ton.
As I said before though looking at tips on the game might not necessarily help you improve straight away but over time the more you play the more you start to see yourself improving. That's what I've found with myself anyway.

When shooting or are about to initiate a gun fight crouch because that improves your accuracy.
If you're following someone and are about to shoot, build a ramp or 2 and build around the ramp to cover your sides, front, and your six.
When you're in a build off, meaning you and your opponent are competing to have a high ground advantage, it might not be in your best interest to build insanely high as someone or your opponent could drop down and shoot the bottom of the ramps. I'd say about the height of 2 port-a-forts is pushing it.
Watch alot of these "amazing players" and copy what they do, I learned alot from watching Ninja.

Just land in high populated areas to practice your gun skill.

1) if your looking to start a gun fight from far away stand still crouching until your cross hairs go really small this means you have 100% accuracy if the cross hairs are on the player obviously then tap tap tap will be a lot more accurate, also 95% of the time crouch whilst shooting! Get a lot more shots off! Also go into gun fights confident not scared and backing off, if you push aggressive the other opponent will get scared if you come at them quick believe me
For building in close building fights use WOOD! it builds a lot quick and will get to 100 health a lot faster then metal or brick that will take a lot more time to fully build.
Just try new things new guns new set ups like sensativity or control set up like builder pro or what not get used to why feels comfortable
If you have time just watch streamers, don't copy them obviously just learn from how they approach gun fights and that! And just keep playing!
