I was wondering if anyone would help me test out the cross platform feature, I have an xbox and am looking for someone to play with on PS4, because I one of my close mate is getting ps4 so would like to see it working thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot cross play between Xbox and PS.

You can only go console to PC.
