Dusknoir wroteDragonBall-Z wrote What company do you work for? Cause I'm in the same line of work and that is some serious BS man.
I've only been with mine for about 8 months and have already got picked up twice making 15 an hour for a stupidly easy job.
Mostly yelling at kids like they are privates. (Funs times really.)
I can't disclose the name of the company but it's one of the largest security firms in the us.
I gotcha. I'd hit up corporate for some bitch sessions. If only you worked with me, you'd be getting something at least.
Chin up man. Let them be shitty because they'll stab each other in the back here soon anyways.

Dusknoir wroteSnoke wrote Thank you for this great post my friend. I do think it's BS that they got promoted higher than you when you trained them yourself, sometimes in jobs they pick favorites and it's not fair but it happens sometimes my dude, it's happened to me in the past with jobs. I think you deserve to be promoted as well and not them, I would say maybe it's time to move on and if it happens again just find a new job. I'm not saying quit just like that make sure you apply for another job and get a job then quit. I hope all the best on your job! Hopefully you do get promoted cause it looks like you deserve it.
Yeah I'm about to start a different full time I might be getting out of security for awhile. I'll turn in my 2 weeks on Tuesday.
Good on you. This is what you need to do in this situation.
Only hand in your resignation once your new contract is signed & hope things improve for you.

Mark wrote Can't you speak to someone higher than your boss?
It's difficult contacting corporate. Usually no one is there to answer the phones it'll just ring and always goes to voicemail.

Just keep ringing until someone picks up.
Works like 90% of the time.

That sounds awful, I'm kinda in the same boat as you honesty with this new company I joined. I get singled out because I'm new to them and they gang up on me and these other 2 guys I work with. We literally will get in trouble for talking if the right person tells our boss but if they do what we do nothing will happen to them...

If i was you id get a new job and then when you go to leave lay everything on your boss. Maybe they will realise you are a good employee and offer a raise.
My jobs kinda the same the way i get treated and ive been tempted to leave a few times. As im the youngest there im always getting shouted at if i do something wrong.
Example from the other day, i finish the job im on and head to the office to put paper work in and pick up another job.
I walk in and everyone from manager, supervisor and staff are in there on there phones and chatting....
As you can imagine i thought okay im gonna sit down with them and have a coffee..
Straight up the manager goes "you need to go put all the stock upstairs and clean the benches"
Literally just walked out saying this place a f'ing joke.. lol.

I know what you mean my dude two of my past jobs I've been defeated with loosing hours and also beat for promotion. I was paid for 40 hours and I was doing 60 hours per week. In and out of work three and four times per day and ended up leaving the job because of how mistreated I was being. Life is brutal and employers forget at some point they were employees and cast themselves about you.
