I am going to be going to my first Rock concert Download Festival, only going for the one day Saturday to see Guns N Roses. Not really my style of music anymore, but my girlfriend has got me back into it again, so I thought to go and try something different. I'm actally going to the Festival on my own, and my missus is going with her friends, but dont wanna meet me up there because I get to much in a mess lmao. But i know when I get there she will call me, or not lol. Just wondering if anyone is going this week? Also if any of you guys have been before, what is it like, whats the people like, is it cheap?

I had tickets to go this year and was also only going for Guns n Roses lol, but due to family emergency had to pass my tickets on. From what I've heard from a fellow work colleague it is a very good weekend and is cheap enough if you make it cheap enough for yourself lmao. He did advise me to stay away from the catering vans etc as they have been known to cause quite a bit of food poisoning

Man I wish, the UK always has the best festivals and I'm always jealous. Going to see Guns N' Roses would be amazing.

Cheers Mikey! And not sure how true it is because they must be okay if they keep getting invited back but just its kinda unlucky if you end up getting that one dodgy burger etc. And I'm sure you'll have a great time so enjoy yourself!

It's a great event/weekend. Very very messy though. Go in with a mindset of 'screw it, lets enjoy this'.

It'll be awfully muddy, awfully trashed and most people will be wasted but it's awesome.

Attempt to take your own drinks if possible too.

I flew over Donnington on Wednesday coming into land at East Midlands and the area was just a sea of people, tents, mud and everything else. I'd try and leave early because traffic is always shocking.

I wish I could go to this, it would be such a blast. But unfortunately, I cannot at this time in life. However I'm sure you'll have a blast Mikey!
