I've been with Virgin many years now [since they were known as NTL] and we've not had too many issues with them. Speed it defo a benifit though it doesn't cover the whole country so if you've got it in your area and can afford it, I'd reccomend.
The only issue that I currently have with VM is the router supplied is trash. I'm on the 300Mb/s package but to achieve that 24/7, I've had to do this.

Used sky internet for a few months and it was such a regret, I would not recommend them at all

I was with Sky for a while and then switched to BT and I am getting nearly x3 the speed.

Virgin is hands down the best ISP in the UK, if you have access to them. They don't provide to all area's. I'm with BT currently because I can't get Virgin and my speeds are somewhat decent for the most part. Looking forward to moving and going back to Virgin though.

Yes it's extremely terrible, I'm on a 1.25 upload speed.

For me it was the other way round was told I was on 200mb on virgin most I got was 40mb said I was cancelling after ringing a few times as they wouldn't fix it in the area and they even stated others have rang up about it in the area yet they did nothing there useless wankers when it comes to customer service switched to sky and had no problems just depends on area as they don't give a damn about there customers
