Maybe they're fixing it?
I haven't played this season much but I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us next season.

Every patch/ update they change things in the map for example in tilted towers there is now 2 trucks where the meteor landing looks like there slowly fixing it.

They are always changing something, they are slowly rebuilding the two buildings in titled and you can see building materials around it.

Aren't they changing it every week? Like they are changing it every week when the new challenges etc come out

I think more trees and nature will appear around the edge and the middle will be built up a lot and feature a few new buildings

I've heard rumors of a new or second map but I just don't see it happening for the time being. I feel like they will stick to the routine map changes.

Every weekly update changes something small about the map. Where the hop rocks used to be in the craters all around the map, they are now in those dump trucks, and hop rocks have stopped spawning on the grassy areas of Dusty Divot.

By the end of this season, we probably will not have hop rocks anymore (thank god) and those spots where the craters are will be fixed/covered/redone. Risky Reels and Tilted Towers have already been filled in and looks like they're being worked on now. I love what they're doing, just wish it would happen a little faster.

I'd also like to know what is going to happen with the secret vault/bunker in Wailing Woods, because nothing have been changed/added to it yet. And, I'd like something else done with the whole movie set production crew area in Moisty Mire, because there's still a large majority of the swamp left that they could change up.
