Hey guys, I'm DONE with my current lap top. It won't update the new windows and restarts at random to try and update to it, it will randomly shut off, it's just a junker and I hate it.
All I use my compute for is browsing forums and watching Youtube videos but if I'm spending money I want to get something quality this time and prepare for if I ever get into PC gaming or something. Mobility isn't really an issue for me, as long as it fits in a back pack I'm good with it. I prefer larger computers where I can pull up blue prints on the job and see things easy and they keyboard HAS to be lit.
I have no idea what any of the numbers and words in the computer world mean so that's where I need help. I also do a lot of work at Microsoft stores so that's just where I started shopping. I will never buy a product from Best Buy because they keep selling me junk. Anyway, these are the computers I'm looking at:

Thoughts / opinions? Which one of these should I get, or is there a different one I should look at? Originally I was trying to keep my budget under $1k so I was leaning to the Lenovo but I always hear Alienware so I figured if it was going to be that much better I may as well shell out a little more. I have never heard of MSI before but the screen, processor, and memory are all comparable to the Alienware. I tried to look at a few Youtube videos but now I'm just even more confused but a lot of them recommend the Predator series so I put that in there as well, however with it being the same price as the Alienware, I'd prefer the Alienware because the screen is bigger but then I don't know what the processor and ram and all the other fancy stuff is that's different between the two and which is better.
Also I'm a Windows / Samsung guy, I've never got used to Apple so I'd prefer to stay with what I'm comfortable with.
EDIT: This is my current laptops specs:

I don't suggest laptops and usually say it's best to walk into a store and buy the one you like, but I can solve one of your problems. This tool will install the latest feature update, which is 1803, even if Windows update is failing to do so.

Thank you, I'll give that a shot!
I need a laptop because I travel the country for work and need to be able to set up fast and in a small space, sometimes I even work while I'm flying.
I tried the store thing but they all work good in store then when you bring it home you don't like it lol.
EDIT: Currently downloading, I was on version 1607 and so far it says everything is OK.
