Check you local Cex, mine have individual bits like this super cheap, like a pad for £15 and it has a warrenty for i think either 3 or 6 months or something like that.
You could also check Gumtree, Shpock i see things on there all the time, if you get lucky you can find some great deals!

I found two great stores when I googled "retro game stores near me" so you could also use that as an option, find some store you've never heard of with loads of goodies
