Side note to everyone else's comments which have been spot on

If you notice there are some parts of the tattoo not 100% filled i.e a lil bit of skin showing where it shouldn't be after 5 days go back to the parlour to have it "touched up"

Thank you for all your comments. I've read them all and just going to wait till it's fully healed then have to go back for a re touch up. Going to also change my cream that I use to something less thick!

Coming from someone that has a full upper body suit and is about to become a licensed tattoo artist, please please please do not overcoat with whatever you are using. I've used Aquaphor on all of mine and the colors have saturated well and have stayed bold for years. Use Aquaphor for the first the days, in this process make sure you wash with non-scented anti bacterial soap ATLEAST twice a day with your hand gently to remove skin plasma that has seeped (its the body trying to create a scab) and apply Aquaphor after every time. After the first three days are officially over start by putting a light layer of non scented hand lotion while still washing twice a day. Flaking is normal, DO NOT PICK ANY SCABS. Heavy black will cause a little more scabbing but if you leave it alone they will go away, picking scabs can cause deep scars and trust me it is not worth it. Now even if a tattoo is dont peeling after the first week it is NOT fully healed. Tattoos generally take 2 months to FULLY heal and become one with the skin so please please still apply lotion at least daily and sun screen if you go outside! Best way to help them heal is to buy an aftercare product from your artist, the one I use is called platinum aftercare. Normal moisturiser isn't very good for healing it, but is good once it is healed to keep the colour in it.
