I miss gaming so much, I used to be a hardcore gamer, 15 hours every day for about 4 years. Now i am older, i dont seem to have time for it anymore, family, work etc. Which means, I basically cant play at all, because once I start on a game, ill end up grinding it, which has whats happened before and have had relationships fail because of this. It even got to the point where I quit my job when WAW was first released. So basically now, I'm worried if I start gaming again, its all gonna go to shit again? I only really play Siege on Steam a few times and thats about it now. I just wanna know how you guys managed to still hardcore game and still have a life lol? I cant seem to do it

hardcore? no you probably cant have a job and a family and do that, but you can definitely still game in moderation whether its an hour or two a night or if you like to play in big chunks like I do then a couple days a weeks thats what I do I get home and game. I definitely understand the want to grind endless hours to get all the gear and what not.

Haven't hard core gamed since my high school days, when I could actually afford to spend 12 hours sitting in front of the xbox in my basement. It took a bit of effort as I got older, but I wanted to make the time for gaming as it's something I love and genuinely enjoy. Now I just really keep it to the weekend, where I'll spend the majority of my free time doing some type of gaming.

Hardcore, probably not. The best thing you can do is play games that are made to grind for years on end.
Take runescape for example, there's not gonna be a runescape 2 anytime soon, so putting little every other day can add up.

You can game when all of your other shit is in order, no sooner. If this means you have 5 hours one day and 10 minutes the next, that's how it is.
Don't be scared of picking it up as a pass time, but this personal discipline is required.

Possibly if you were to obviously do it for a living and by that streaming/youtube etc.. Other than that I don't think so because you have to live your life instead of playing games yanno

Sure. Back on Halo 4, my partner I teamed with for the duration of the game had a son and newborn daughter and a full time job, and still played constantly with us at the times we specified. He still games now, and streams, but instead of working full time he owns his own business. So he's a good example of have a life and being a hardcore gamer.

You can be a gamer, but hardcore only on the weekends. My fiance plays games with me so it works out. But just have time set aside to play games and make time for everything between.

You dont got to go all out 7 days a week. Just arrange it with the family that you play Monday,Thursday,Saturday or whatever and rest of days you will be with them.
