So I have a 60hz monitor and I did some reading but is it really worth upgrading to a 144hz monitor. Like will I really notice a difference or is it so small that I won't notice. I would like your opinions before I go and spend a few hundred on one

I would definitely say yes especially if you get high frame rates. If you're getting less than 60 FPS while gaming then no. Hertz is the amount that your monitor refreshes so if you're playing a game running 120 FPS but your monitor only has 60 hz then your screen is going to tear. Of course an easy way to fix this is to cap your FPS but if you need a new monitor then definitely go for more hertz.

here's a post from google:

A fast 120/144Hz monitor will display new frames more quickly than a 60Hz. As such it greatly reduces the chances of the screen not accurately displaying what you are actually aiming at in the game.

Also with a high refresh rate, screen tearing is nowhere as bad, which is a very bad thing in CS.

If you have any other questions feel free to PM me!

you'll only see a difference if youMre running above 60fps, If not it will be the same. But I'd get it just incase you up it in the future

Like the others said, if you are getting above 60 frames consistently, I would say for sure get it. I noticed the difference literally immediately and wouldn't want to go back to 60hz since.

Ok great thanks for all the help. I am getting about 60 FPS on all games so I will definitely be buying a 144hz monitor
