I've been thinking about time travel lately since I lost my dad this year and i've come to the realization that time travel won't be a thing a large percentage of humans will ever see.
1) If time travel works like how it works in movies then anything you do when you travel to the past/future will impact the world forever. Meaning that it would most likely be limited to government use only.
2) The whole art of time travel will never make sense due to another dimension essentially having to be created every time something is changed in the past. i.e - you go back in time to your 5th birthday but instead of eating cake you decide not to eat the cake, therefore you would have created a new timeline in your life which wouldn't make much sense due to the current world having to update.
But even if time traveling is possible it would be limited to government use like I stated because of reason number 2.
What do you guys think? Is it ever gonna be a normal thing?

But time travel is possible and there is evidence of it. Space can be bent such that time is faster or slower from your perception.

It sounds like you're describing the butterfly effect man, and it's partially true. The basis is, that if you change one detail in a past event while in a "time travel" other things will be affected. Also we're not too far off on finding ways to travel certain objects through time. A lot of Physicists will tell you, black holes or wormholes are a possible example we already know of.

I think time travel could be possible but not in our life time. What if something changed in the past does not affect the future? Well who knows at this point because it might not be possible. I just thought of this now but what if JFK did not get assassinated but everything after his attempted assassination panned out like his actual assassination? I like this sort of stuff because you could go on for hours.

I believe if time travel was an actual thing and they have discovered it, it would be a one way only and that's forward not backwards it's a theory that if it happens it would be forward some scientists actually believe this and I do too if it's possible.

I don't think there will ever be such a thing, it's just bizarre. Just like people who think the earth is round.
