Hey guys, I have an old laptop that I want to see if it can be upgraded to its maximum potential lol.
It's and AMD based laptop, Dell Inspiron
AMD A8 APU 7410 2.20 GHz
2x4gb ddr3 ram
Radeon R5 7410 Integrated graphics

The upgrade will most likely be another apu but I wanna know the maximum potential of it with the upgrades

The APU is soldered onto the motherboard. There is no user available upgrades for this laptop in terms of CPU upgrades.

To add to what Adam said, you're going to be able to 'upgrade' RAM and storage at best. Adding more RAM would be futile IMO, since you likely have 2 SO-DIMMs, both of which will be populated, and 16GB RAM really isn't going to benefit you in almost any way with a low end APU.

Swapping the hard drive out for an SSD will speed the system up a little for you, and make loading times/internet browsing less hassle, but you'll gain absolutely no performance.

If you want to do anything remotely demanding, your best bet is building yourself a system. You could probably manage to find an old computer from a school/college or something fairly cheap, add a low end GPU to it and be good to go for now- if budget is your concern.
