I want to upgrade to a 1080 and my only worry is the motherboard, you think it'll be okay to use this mobo with a 1080, it was only like £60 so it wasn't too expensive, like i can get the 1080 and then use it on this mobo for a little while until i can buy a new mobo if so what are some good suggestions

The motherboard will be fine but I would recommend getting a 1070ti instead of paying a little extra for a 1080 and then overclocking the 1070ti to get the same performance as a 1080.

A 1070ti is pretty much the same price as the 1080 if not cheaper for some reason, maybe that's just in the UK but i can get the cheapest 1080 which is a gigabyte one for 446 and a 1070ti is about 435

Motherboard isnt the concern, PSU is. What's the make and model of PSU? You'll also want to make sure the GPU you buy will fit in your case.

GTX 1080 is stupid overkill for 1080p60Hz though. You'd be better adding an SSD.

The 11 series is right around the corner given recent leaks. It might be in your best interest to wait a month or two and then buy a new 11 series card or buy a 10 series for cheaper.

You can get a 1070Ti under 4 hundo ez. £450 for a GTX 1080 isn't terrible tbf, but I still highly advise against the 1080. I wouldn't even recommend a 1070Ti but for the same price as the 1080, you could get a 1070Ti and 240GB SSD.

I have a 750w modular PSU that I bought a few months ago still in the box and it's 80+ gold, case is also big enough

I don't even game that hard tbh, I just wanted something much better than the 1050ti that I currently have and am playing a lot of fallout 76 when it releases and wanted a better card specifically for that really but a lot of people are suggesting a 1070ti
