I heard mentioned a while back that you could use a HD pvr to record from an XBox. My pvr doesn't let me record from the auxilery input though... Was the one I heard it from mistaken or is there another way?

I had this problem too, i solved it fairly fast though, go through your capture settings on whatever program you are recording with and make sure you have it set to record through compisite cables, this will give you sound and video, hope this helped. Im very sorry if this was not useful to you at all, this just seemed like the problem i had.

I'm not quite sure you understand, I'm trying to use my PVR to record this. If this isn't possible or I need to get a program then could you point me in the right direction?

Doesn't it just save the videos into files you drag into programs like Vegas

Change the settings to come in through the cables.
