I picked up the game cheap and figured it had to of gotten much better since its had 2 years worth of updates. That being said, I am 3 hours into the game and I'm bored as hell. I know, I know "you are only 3 hours in", but 3 hours worth of boredom is a long time lol. Just trying to figure out if grinding through it is worth it or not. I really want to get into the exploration of different planets, but right now it just seems like "gather materials to build this" and "gather materials to keep yourself alive with you gather materials to build this" lmao. I am aware that crafting is a huge part of this game, but when does it become a little more smooth without having to worry about your life supply depleting so quickly? Any info would be appreciated.
