In 10th grade I took the hardest math, English and history class. 10th grade was the same as 9th grade, just pay attention and do your work.

Go to class, do your work, and just get it done.

go meet new people and make new friends.

grade 10 is no more different than grade 9 in my opinion, you just get a different locker, new classes, etc.

i was thinking the same thing however you have to remember the SATs switched to a new grading format. That would be often why on college applications they ask if the scores you are submitting are from the "new SAT" or the "Old SAT"

Enjoy it, and go to class. Once you're done highschool you're going to realize how you will miss those days.

It's not too much harder than 9th grade. You might have a couple different classes or whatever for credits but when I was in school I remember you could change a class if you didn't like it. I remember I took this woodshop class that was call industrial technology and we mostly just **** off in the work shop making wood projects, obviously being safe but not doing much work at all even though it was one of my favorite classes and a easy credit each year I took it. I had another class where all we did was watch movies and write a review or whatever on them another easy credit. I had one I did not like at all and I changed it to a study hall so I'm sure you can change certain ones if you do not like them but obviously you will have your main classes you can't really get around. Everything will be good though high school was a breeze. Enjoy it while it lasts because it goes quicker than you think. The first comment really hit home because after high school the years really do fly by. In 2 or 3 years from now look back on this post you will see what I mean.

Just be yourself and do you worry less about friends and study.

Think of it this way; you already have 9 grades in the books, this is just another year. Embrace the change and grow through it, meeting new people will make you feel good!

What woobie said, but I would add that you should go to a lot of the team sports games (unless you play them)and pep rally's, and join clubs, and any other school involvement. At the time that stuff seems lame but now that I've been out for 5 years I wish I would have, and I was the type to skip school. I don't miss it at all but I would change how I looked at schools back then. Make good memory's not just the fun ones.
