So it is my "girlfriends" birthday tomorrow and so I spent the afternoon with her mum today to go and collect the car I brought for her 3 weeks ago. The Audi dealership is on the outside of our town and so we drove from the dealership - through the town centre - to my girlfriends house (to drop off the car as a surprise) as she was supposedly out at her "friends house".

Anyhow, we drove through town at around 18:00 and, whilst sitting in traffic, I saw her walking around with her ex boyfriend.

Now, i'm not the overprotective type but we have been together for over 2 years (26months) and my girlfriend clearly stated that she was at her friend's house and so me finding her in town joking about with her ex is something she can't explain to me.

Now this is the thing, her mum made me stop the car and as I did this she jumped out and walked right towards my "girlfriend". As soon as my gf saw her mum she grabbed the guys hand and literally ran away.

I'm sorry if this is all mumble but I don't know how I am to react and what to do. I have never felt so betrayed. I'm writing this on here because I want to get it out but I don't want to tell anyone I know.

You caught her bro, let her go. If it happpens once it'll happen again people like that don't change. Good thing is you're only 17 and have your whole life ahead of you.

She is adamant that she was just catching up for old times sake? I don't get why she would run away if that was the case.. Thanks bro, it's hard to think of the future rn

Lol I've been cheated on, she will say whatever she can to make it seem like it wasn't her fault, it's not what you think, and try to guilt trip you into staying.

Leave. Run. Run as far away from her as you can. You say above that you don't want anyone else, cool, but it looks like she can't say the same about you.

My ex is exactly that, my ex. If I don't care about them still, I'm not going to be walking down the street "catching up" with them, and if I am going to go catch up with my ex, I am not going to go lie about it.

You're 17, go find someone who is just as much infatuated with you as you are with them. When you find the one, trust me, you're not going to care about "catching up" with any of your exes.
