So im getting my first pc for my birthday as everyone is telling me its way better than console. My budget is £650.

This is the pc I am thinking of buying.

I have also seen pcs with an i5 selling for £550 on amazon that have no OS. My friend said to stay away from amazon but im pretty sure you can get win10 for free but idk how to install it.

My friends told me to stay away from AMD they said they are crap.

My friend also said he would build one for me for free but I am worried what if he messes up or if it breaks a year later then I have no warranty and im screwed.

Basically im not sure what is best for my budget and would really appreciate some guidance.

okay first things first..your friends are morons...

second of all you can install the OS free of charge but youll need a key once installed to get rid of the watermarks etc (you can get a cheap one off of ebay)

and third of all if you feel something might go wrong or you are new to PC building get a pre built and watch you-tube videos on basics how to configure/customise a PC and upgrade it down the line..the pc you have listed is a decent beginner build...have a look around though you can get some good finds

not just that lmao..."dont go to amazon" clearly your friends dont have much knowledge with computing...amd are just as good as intel...both specialise in different fields (single core/ multi core) and serve different purposes better.
