So we were going to do a cpu swap last night, but my motherboard was incompatible with the cpu i got, so i switched back to the old cpu. i believe it was working last night but now my gpu isnt detected in device manager and yes i installed the drivers, my bios is updated because i did it for the newer card..
i tried resetting the bios to defaults, reseating the card, reinstalling drivers, nothing is working and im seeing if someone can help, otherwise ill talk it to a repair shop. +rep if you help

How do you know that it's not being detected? Are you getting no display? If it's not POST'ing, it could be any number of things since you've removed the CPU.
Personally, I'd strip out the whole lot and re-build it. Making sure that everything you are doing is correct so you know that what you are putting back together should work.
If it doesn't then you may have hardware issues. When you turn the PC on, does it give you a beep code or a POST code on the motherboard?
More information // pictures will help us here.
