Hi, putting together a pc for a friend and we've put together a list of some components. Looking for some advice in tweaking it to be any cheaper or more efficient. Thanks!

Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor
Noctua NH-D15 Premium CPU Cooler with NF-A15 x 2 PWM Retail Cooling Fans
Gigabyte - Z370P D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Kingston - HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB V-NAND M.2 PCI Express Solid State Drive - Black +
Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB Video Card
Cooler Master Case
EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Lite-On - iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer

Will be a Gaming rig 1080p 60Hz, budget of about £2000, overclocking not a priority.

That system shouldn't be any more than £1500, and that's with a monitor included.

Also, you absolutely should not be using a 1080p 60Hz monitor with a £2000 PC. I'd be looking at 4k at least, maybe even 1440p ultrawide(3440x1440) or 1440p high refresh rate.

GTX 1070Ti is a terrible purchase since RTX cards launch in less than 48 hours now.

i7-8700k is also a pretty poor purchase IMO since 9th gen Intel CPUs should be launching soon which is bringing 8 cores to the mainstream for Intel. Ryzen is a good alternative, and a 6 core Ryzen 5 CPU would be more than adequate for 1080p 60Hz anyway, and you'd likely notice no difference between that and an 8700k for the most part(in games anyway). The motherboard is pretty low end for an 8700k too IMO.

970 EVO might be a waste of money if it's not going to be utilised, so we'd need to know exactly what the system is being used for.
