So the NHL regular season is coming up real soon and I think it's going to be an interesting season with new prospects coming in, and maybe see how some team improves or climb down the losers list for the year. The season starts October 3, 2018. And here is the teams that are starting the season kick off:

San Jose Sharks: Wednesday, Oct. 3 vs. Anaheim
Toronto Maple Leafs: Wednesday, Oct. 3 vs. Montreal
Vancouver Canucks: Wednesday, Oct. 3 vs. Calgary
Washington Capitals: Wednesday, Oct. 3 vs. Boston

So what are your predictions of the two teams that will end up in the Stanley Cup finals?

My biggest guess would be Toronto vs. Jets in the finals.

I'm excited to see what the outcome of the season is but at the same time I'm hoping my team sucks to tank for the upcoming talented draft picks next year!

What are your thoughts?

I can definitely see winnipeg winning the cup this year. Their team is just so stacked all around and they are definitely a strong competitor this year.

Yea I think Patrick Laine will have another good season with top line forwards, maybe another 40 goal season and maybe 80-90 point season, this kid is pretty darn good, another goal scorer in the making in the NHL history after Kucherov and Ovechkin! And as a 19yr old kid putting up 40 something goals last season being one of the top goal scorers is unbelievable how much he achieved it!

I'm excited to see next years draftees I.E Hughes, kakko, cozens and bunch more and how they adapt to the NHL! These few years ahead is filled with future star NHLers! On my part I'm mostly excited for Lafreniere in the 2020 draft!

Indeed, I think I'm mostly going to watch Dahlin this year, at the same time habs 3rd overall pick might be playing this season and he's been very good this preseason! Unbelievably great vision, hockey IQ and poise! I can't wait to see how he adapts to this season if he's going to play, but I'm guessing he would probably play 9 games and head back to Finland! I'm happy with our pick even though there was tons of other players to choose. I think Kotkaniemi will be a great centre in a long term if he transitions a little more.

I agree. I thought when they picked him they have messed up on missing out on Zadina but in reality hes been playing very well this preseason as you said.

However, Im more interested in how Boqvist is going to turn out for Chicago. We need defence for the future and he will definitely be our number one guy.

I really thought pacioretty would go to Chicago cause of rumours of how much they cleared cap space for a trade, but yea boqvist looks to be a future Norris trophy winner! And I always loved Kotkaniemi and hoped the habs would pick him, indeed I was watching the first 5 draft at work and when they announced his name I got so excited and called my dad to tell him and he said he's very happy as well they chosed him. I was going to be happy if we got Zadina but Montreal is in need of centre, and one of the worst centres in the NHL especially since koivu era. I hope he becomes a 1C and dominates cause I have high hopes for him and just fell in love with the pick haha.
