Okay so I am so close to being done setting up my RGH to host online. I have everything installed and I have bought my time token from xbOnline and I have got it activated. When I try to connect to xbox live I get a notification saying xbox live needs an update to continue. Do I update this via xbox 360 dashboard or have I missed something when setting up my RGH?

Check to make sure you're on dash 17526. If so and your avatars are grey then you're safe to update on xbox live

I am updated to 17526 and my avatar is grey. The notification says "A system update is available for Xbox Live. If you decline, you wont be able to connect to Xbox Live until you take the update. Visit a website for more info." So your saying I am good to do this system update?

Yes you are fine to update. It's just the avatar update.

Yes, that's the title update for the current version of Mw2. You will get that prompt for any online game you launch unless you have manually installed the title update for the game. They are fine to download over live though.
