You can mod a character's individual bar on the backwards compatible version & upload it to the cloud saves (you'll need an xb360 & it may mess with your profile associated bar).

You can slowly boost it by doing the following.
Duplicate the max amount of money onto another profile (splitscreen). Having that profile as player 1, join it's game with the profile you want the bar boost on. When you join, create a new character & engage the trade menu. Simply trade the money then trade it back & you'll get over 100 bar. You can repeat this by exiting the game (with the profile you're boosting) & creating another character. You can get even more by having the first player drop 30 legendaries, then you pick them up, drop them, & repeat like the aforementioned.
