I was recently hired to fix an xbox 360 on this site that stopped working. The customer had flashed a bad keyvault, and just needed the original nand reflashed. Not a huge deal, I just solder up a lpt cable, and reflash.

When I opened the xbox up, I found THIS

By far the WORST soldering job I have ever seen. Apparently he bought it here on TTG from someone. I wish I knew who it was so I could call him out before his work burns someone's house down.

There was enough solder and wire to jtag about 5 xboxes. Hardly any of the wire was insulated, diodes were literally stretched from point to point, and look at the wire in the top right corner, it has a huge solder spike protruding from all of the uninsulated wire!

I fixed this up, and then proceeded to go about adding an lpt port to fix this xbox.
Look closely at the nand points: The two leftmost points were nearly burnt right off the board! I had to clean off all the charred PCB, then rebuild two of the points before I could continue.

All in all a 20 minute job ended up taking me three hours
Moral of the story request PICS before sending cash

I got one of those in the other day that I bought from someone on here.

What do you know, short circuit, red on power brick instantly..

Why do people just throw the resistors on there over power related mosfets?!?

That one you have is pretty **** up tho lol Very novice soldering...Maybe 10 year old?
