For starters I'm finding it hard to rank up on Black ops.

I used to rank up easy on all the other cods but on this one I seem to be struggling.

So if you're level 40 or over can you give me some advice on what to do to rank up/gain cod points.

I'll plus rep if you give good answer.

keep doing contracts, run and gun with the ak74u. got to level 32 like that in 5 hours of gametime

When you get to 38 use the AK.
When you get too 44 use the Commando.
When your 1 - 38. Use the 74u & a assualt rifle you like.

I find demolition good, you get 600 points per plant/defuse, so exploit it

Let them defuse and just keep plating, easily get XP that way


I find that the AK47, level 38 is a good assualt, and the MLP subby


I rank up quite quick in demoltion
