Updating to Xellous is far better. You will be able to access your xbox via firefox and download you NAND image along with every other file you will need for XBR to FreeBoot.
Copied from another website here you go.
Download Flash360 from usual places.
Download XeLLous from usual places.
Extract contents of Flash360.zip to a folder
Copy that folder to the root of your Xbox 360 HDD
Extract xell-2f.bin from XeLLous.zip and rename it to updslot0.bin
Copy updslot0.bin to a USB stick and put it in your 360
Start XeXMenu, Navigate to the root of you HDD and run Flash360.xex
Press button B, press button A.
Follow on screen instructions to exit and shut down from Flash360 (do not exit via guide button)
Once console has shut down, remove power for at least 30 seconds to allow for a complete reinitialization of console.
Remove USB stick
Replace power and boot console via the eject button to boot into XeLLous.
You can now connect to your 360 with a web browser (use firefox). Leave XeLLous running, go to your computer and enter the URL given at the bottom of the screen into your browsers address bar. (obviously, youll need your 360 to be connected to your network for this to work)

i didn't no if i had to put "updslot0.bin" into my root of xbox or into flash360 folder, i then went on with the process following instruction in tutorial on how to use flash360. it then said it didn't complete, then it said press back to shutdown so i did. i rebooted my xbox 360 and i had a black screen, i tried eject button if xellous intalled and still got black screen, i got my nand backup so i just need to know how to fix this! PLEASE HELP!

You need a NAND flasher to reflash the original NAND or at least Xellous. ANY freeBOOT image from a freeboot image maker will also work. You have to directly reflash the nand. I suggest a USB onelike I use for all my JTAGs.
Hope you're ready to learn how to JTAG an Xbox because that's basically what you have to do to get yours running again. :-D
It's not hard tho. Message me if you need more info. I can send you links, etc...
