This is very simple and free, just follow the steps

1.) Go on xbox.com and register your console with real info and stuff under the E74 error ( Nothing else will work for free if you don't have warrenty )


2.) Once you've register it and made a repair request wrap you xbox 360 in towels with a disk in at the main menu for about 5-6 hours ( Console will repeatedly turn of from 2 red light, but just keep restarting it for about 5 hours wrapped in towels )


3.) Once you've had the console cooking in towels for a good 5-6 hours straight, stick it in the freezer for about 30 minutes - an hour


4.) Take it out the freezer and wrapped it back up in towels and turn it on and leave it for about another 2-3 hours


5.) Repeat untill you get the 3 red rights


6.) Once you have the 3 red rings repeat steps 3 and 4 just to make sure they are good unfixable 3 red rings ( if not, microsoft will repair it and send you your same console back still banned )


7.) Send your console in


8.) Wait 2-3 weeks and if you've done the steps right you will get a console back with a different motherboard since the one you sent it was unfixable, and you will have a unbanned console


9.) Play on live!

Nice find! When my friend's Xbox360 got console banned he bought a new one. Then switched them out and returned the Xboxs back to the store and he told the guy at the store that he bought the wrong console for his nephews birthday lol it worked!
