Reelthrill1 wrote Even though getting around your old system was really obvious, it was at least good of you to try ^_^

What are you talking about? There was NO way around the old system. It was bound to CPU keys.

metal_fingers wrote Is KV swapping confirmed nonworking on anything but xenons. I can testify that an image I rebuilt through fbbuild for my Zephyr with an unoriginal xenon KV allowed my to boot successfully in to kernel 12611.

However, I can not verify that my Zephyr is one which implements KV hashing anyway, I recall reading that early Zephyrs do not. I am too lazy to build myself a frb 0.32 image and test this by swapping KVs.

I also vaguely remember reading in the fbbuild readme that KV security issues were not a concern, so perhaps rebuilding your image through fbbuild will work with a swapped KV even if using 360 flash tool does not? I didn't even think flash tool would open 12611 dumps until i tested it myself, I remember it couldn't open stock 12611 dumps.. must have been so memory reallocation involved in building the rebooter.

Regardless, if fbbuild does reimplement KV hashing, the only difference between frb-0.032 and frb-0.32-with-hashing-disabled (some called it .0323) was this string of hex bits at address 60E: "973400000001386000010000". I'm sure this can be easily reinserted in to the mobo patches.
