I'd recommend a HP Pavillion. There is a large range on their site.

Definately get one with at least an i5 processor.

Thats a very good laptop for 700$, especially if you aren't looking forward to running games on it.

Have a look at some revies on the Mac because i heard of friends etc, that it isnt very good.

i have an alienware m11x, and its great, except the screen is only 11.5 in...

other than that i'd try like maybe a 15in dell, or HP

Go for a Dell Inspiron wih a 17 inch screen and i5 processor(i3 is good to)
