Hey Botters,
Does this look familiar?

I have noticed that every time people open their RSBot and see what is in the image above, the powerbot forums are BOMBARDED by noob posts, such as:
"omg how do i fix dis?!"
"rsbot acting weird"
"why does this happen!?!?"
"is rsbot updated or not?"
Look familiar?
If you are a new botter in this community, then on one hand I can understand the panic of a bot client which appears to have gone mad, but on the other I simply cannot understand the need to post pointless and frankly annoying threads without doing a little bit of research beforehand.
The thread is divided into 4 sections, each one made out of FAQ's.
1. "RSBot is outdated, please wait patiently for a new version."
The reason why this happens, is because every time Jagex launches an update on RuneScape, RSBot shuts down until further instructions from the creators/administrators are given.
Why? One of the reasons is simply because it's for your own safety. Let's say that Jagex suddenly releases an update which can instantly track down and ban anyone using the current version of RSBot. That wouldn't be very good, huh?
Maybe that's a little bit extreme, but RSBot stops working for a couple of hours after an update, so the admins can see if there were any changes in the game code that would make the bot client stop working.
Also (and more importantly), it's because the hooks have to be updated to match the updates. [Thanks for the info TylerDB ]
2. "Unable to load client, please check your firewall or internet connection."
Out of popular demand (a.k.a. some comments and A LOT of pm's) I have decided to talk about this statement, which comes after the "please wait for an update" message box.
Do not worry, this is actually really, really simple. Basically, when the auto-updater blocks the game from loading, the RSBot client doesn't know it is being blocked by the auto-updater. Because of this, the client thinks that the reason why the game isn't loading is because of your internet connection or your firewall.
This means that there are no problems with either your internet or your firewall, and RSBot did not mess anything up.
3. "How long will it take for RSBot to update?"
Could be 10 minutes. Could be 6 hours, it's impossible to tell and it's pointless to complain. What has to be done, has to be done.
So I guess the answer is who knows? who cares?
Just go do something else. If you want, you can open RSBot regularly to see if it has updated. The important thing is to not lose your cool and to be patient!
4. "FAQ: When RSBot has updated, will I have to do something or will it fix itself?"
Once RSBot has finished doing all the things listed above, the client should simply load normally, without any need to re-download or manually update. It's as simple as that!
So... While you wait you can just sit back and enjoy playing RS normally... It IS a fun game even if you don't bot

OK.
Now that we have cleared all that up, I cannot help but underline a certain part of the text which appears on the RSBot client.
------------------"...please wait patiently for a new version"------------------
Even if you did not know what I wrote above, I think that it is still pretty obvious that RSBot is asking you to please wait patiently for a newer version to be available.
I think that now I can safely conclude the thread, because I have made my point and because I don't want noobs to tl;dr (too long; didn't read) this.
The moral of the story is: don't flame the forums immediately after something seems strange, first search for related content and if you cannot find anything, then you are welcome to post a thread.
Well, I hope I helped!
Note: I DO NOT take any credit for this post. All credit goes to "BiankoBot" on PowerBot.org.
This is only for your convenience.
Thanks,

Possibly you could go through and clean the post up a bit since TTG won't allow html markup?
