Ok my xbox has stopped reading discs I had this problem earlier and I took my xbox apart and cleaned the laser off with a cotton swab but now its doing it again and I tried cleaning it again and it won't even attempt to read the disc it spins it for like 1/2 a second and gives up and stops, any ideas? And its a benq drive

i reccomend reading the dvd key off the drive and they buying a replacement drive 8)

Mine does this sometimes. I just leave it for a bit, and it usually works again.

Keep on ejecting and opening, if that fails, open the disc drive push it to the right and press eject.

i think you have the open tray error. search open tray error on youtube theres tons of vids on how to fix it

Wha to do is, put the xbox in the fridge to freeze the laser and then put it in the microwave for 2 mins to melt the ice. Once this has been done your laser should be repaired and it should read disc's
