We honestly need a form of petition to create a rule which would warn/temp ban users who repeatedly and or simply post about lobbies/system links.

Explanation : Recently plenty of you have downloaded these patch files and xex's which claim to alter the xp recieved and allow you to prestige very quickly. A lot of you though are complaining that you dont see any xp mods and such and im sure youve heard the explanation that "You have to be online for it to work". Well its true and heres why.

Treyarch has made it so all information gets sent server side and is checked for legitimacy. Aka, if youre offline in your system link, no client information can be sent to them. Therefore if no information is sent to them, nothing will count towards your client side data aka your prestige/rank. They also enabled this check to make sure the stats youre getting and are sending to them are LEGITIMATE, if they see anything fishy, its an automatic reset. So even if you DO get online dont count on any rank/xp mods.

My theory behind getting around this is to enable a client side var which would force the game into thinking its an online game, which would trick it into thinking its sending information server side when really it isnt. Otherwise, system linking is going to be impossible and dont count on it AT ALL because IT WONT WORK. Online games are already out of the question as ive previously explained.

Example of something to insert into the patch file : setDvar("onlinegame", 1);

We NEED something like that for it to work otherwise youre going to have to waste a kv on getting it to work only to be reset.

That pretty much sums it up. No system linking, period, unless we figure out something like whats stated above ^. For now, if you want the xp mod, youre going to have to actually unban your jtag and use it online only to be reset ( Unless youre lucky ). I hope this clears up ANY confusion that you idiot leeches/scrubs have as well as any legitimate members who were questioning this.

yeah all these leechers dnt realise that black ops is not like mw2 cod 5 cod4 ... system link online is not possible on black ops unless the online game dvar was there then yah but apart from that with the jtag its not possible to system link yourself infections etc.

I mean the 50+ thread thing a day needs to honestly stop. Legitimate modding progression threads are getting bumed into nowhere.
