Nortan there is no way to fix it. You got it from somewhere and it can crash any computer. I don't know what to say, but I would just buy a new one now. My computer was 2 months old when it was crashed due to this virus. Time magazine did a little story about this.

Dont go buying a new computer just yet. If there are any repair guys in your area get them to have a look.
We got a virus a few years back. The repair lad wiped it clear and it worked perfectly after. It only cost use E100 compared with E1000 for a new one so well worth it.

Nortan I am just saying I restored my system and I had the same problem. I had some guy try to repair it at Radio Shack and they said there is no way to repair it. You could try, but you don't have much hope man. That is what I am saying. There is no cure to this.
