i still cant move and shoot and when i push down on the analog sticks nothing happens

I seem to always get this wrong.

Do I sign in off of my usb from the main menu? or can I put my profile back onto my hardrive and go from the dashboard.

Use it just like before, go into a private match (any game mode) with at least one other person present, press down on either analogue stick and if the game restarts, you're done
