Revive teammates using grenades

Hello. So about a week ago I was playing zombies (obviously ) on "Five" and found out that you can revive teammates using your grenades. Here's what I had and what I did:
1) You must have the Krauss Refribrilator
2) It must be the weapon currently in your hand
3) Throw a grenade at a downed teammate. Your teammate must be within the the radius of the blast of the grenade.
4) Your teammate is back in action!
The only thing I am not sure of is if you need to have the bowie knife. I did do this multiple times and I believe each time I did, I had the bowie knife so I don't know if you need it or not. Also, I have not tried this on "Kino der Toten" but I imagine it would work on their as well.
Lastly (although I don't think it matters), I was using the glitch to get on top of the teleport in "Five" when i was doing this.

this may work but i dosent really matter because you could just use the ballistic knife ... dont know the name of it when pack a punched

hmm is it an upgraded gun? like an upgraded BN balistic knife?

I found this useful if someone is out of range or if they are in a spot that you don't have a clear line of sight on (such as a corner). When I first discovered this, I was on top of the teleporter in the war room and my teammate went down behind the juggernog machine which was out of my line of sight so I tossed a grenade and was able to revive him. It was also nice because it helped clear out some zombies that were over there at the time.
The Krauss Refribrilator is the upgraded version of the ballistic knife which can be obtained via the mystery box. It does replace one of your weapons.

You can also just shoot the knife at your teammate

Ballistic Knife is the Krauss Refribrilator guys.
Easier to just shoot knife at him, then retrieve knife. Rinse and Repeat.

Like I said, I found it helpful if someone was out of your line of sight like around a corner.
