My personal experience on said subject is to go with pancakes. Although both are similar, i find that pancakes have a superior flavor. I will say that waffles have a great texture though. But do note that you can make waffles in 5 minutes where as pancakes take 10. Although that has nothing to do with taste, i will say it is convenient and still taste quite good. But, and this is a big but, pancakes have an ace up their sleeve, they can have chocolate chips, and look like a micky mouse. I have personally never seen a choco chip waffle, nor a waffle shaped as a micky mouse. At the end of the day (or at the beginning i suppose) it is a matter of preference, but i personally believe the pancake to superior.
