Hey i just got my trasnfer cable and it wont read my Hard drive. I plug it in to my Hard drive and into my computer but nothing happens and i go to Xplorer 360 and it says that there is no FATX file that can be found.

if u are using vista, right click in xplorer and run as admin. if u have a 120gb hdd u will need to download xplorer360 extreme2. hope thats helps.

I would recommend using Xport 360. It reads and Loads HDD faster and more efficiently for me and i dnt need to run as "admin".

Or, just move the cord around a bit, make sure it is in correct, that's what I did.

Use XPort 360 and make sure you run that program as an administrator if you are on vista or 7.

I have done all of those things and i have windows xp, and i was using Xplorer and i have a 20 gig hard drive so should i switch to xport or does that matter?

simple solution, take apart your xbox hdd case, and connect the drive direct to sata connection on your pc. much easier and safer.

Run as admin thats what you probley need to do or try using xport

ya the only thing i can think of is run as admin and xport oh and maybe uac has somethng to do with it you can always try just go in to control panel and look for uac and turn it off
