Hello TTG. I have made this post just to clear things up for people. I have seen many people not abide by the Posting Tips, so I have made this to give a detailed descreption of them.
What are Posting Tips?
Well Posting Tips are not necessarily "Rules" but they are a guideline of how you should be posting. The tips are very handy, and they can help you out a lot, and avoid you been flamed by anyone.
So lets get on with the detailed explanation!

Tip 1. Use the search tool first before you post your question. Many times a similar post already exists.
This tip is a good one because often before you make a topic, chances are it has already been posted. If your topic is asking a short question, type the question into search, someone may have been wanting to know the same thing, so they already asked the question. If you use the search tool it will avoid clogging up the forums, also people may say "Already posted before!!" Or it may be a really easy question that get asked a lot around the community. If you make a helpful post, that took you a long time, you may find somebody has already posted it. Then you would have wasted all that time and effort for nothing. You may also get accused of "Stealing Topics."

[font=Comic Sans MS]Now, with the TTG update, you can also locate the search bar, in the TTG toolbar down the bottom of your page. This does the same thing as the other search bar.

Tip 2. Do not use general titles for your posts. 'Help me', 'Look here', 'I was wondering' and 'Quick question' are bad examples of general titles.
Dont use these titles because If you post "Quick question" or something, someone will be less likely to look at it. If you just post the question in the title, people who know the answer will be able to answer striaght away, without any confusion. It will save peoples time if you dont have general titles.

Tip 3. Do not use all CAPITAL LETTERS in your posts or topic titles.
Yes, this is a very wise tip. Dont post topics with ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, THE VOICE IN MY HEAD MAKES IT SOUND LIKE YOUR YELLING AT ME. Posting in all caps can annoy people, I sure know it annoys me. And if people see your topics in all capitals, they may straight away think you are leeching or begging for something. Capital letters do bug people, and I strongly avise you stay calm, and make your topic in normal letters.

Tip 4. Utilize the Spell Check feature for the subject and post text.
I find this one one of the most important tips of them all. This is an important tip because if someone has incorrect grammer, people will obvisouly not understand what you are saying. If people cant understand you, it may make them annoyed or frustrated. Also if you are not spelling correctly people are going to think you are a 10 year old, and they will flame on you and mock you. So for crist sake use spell check!

Tip 5. Abide by all Community Rules.
This is definitely the most important tip. Basically to sum it all up, just follow the rules when posting, no spamming, advertising, etc etc.
Just wanted to clear that up a little bit because most people dont even notice the tips, or read the tips, and if you do it will help you. Follow the rest of my extra tips and it will be even better for you.

**Extra Tips**
Tip 6. Dont make a useless topic.
Dont make a stupid useless topic, that nobody is going to reply to. Or a topic that nobody will care about and/or you will be flamed or hated about. What is the point of making a topic like that? Before you post just think, is it really worth it?

Tip 7. Dont ask for Stickys.
I cannot stress this tip enough. Do not ask for stickys. Because I highly doubt you will recieve one. Going into the Shoutbox saying "Can you please sticky my topic" will only really annoy mods, and then they will probably not even look at your topic. If you really think its worth a sticky, then just recieve the postive feedback, and a MOD or Admin will eventually give you the sticky if he/she thinks its worth it.

Tip 8. Just done flame.
If you see a member, and you think hes made a stupid post.. Dont comment swearing at him or telling him hes a stupid idiot.. Its not going to get you anywhere in TTG.. Just dont worry about it. All its going to do is create a flame war. If you disagree, -REP the person. Once. Not continually. When you -Rep someone you will see that it says "I disagree with this post" So thats all you gotta do if you disagree with a post. Dont start unnecessary arguments.

If you follow the above tips, it will help you out on TTG, and you wont get hated on or flamed by any worthy TTG member.

Great post! I think the majority of what you have said should be, well, common sense. Especially the part about bad grammar and such. If you want to make a post hard to understand or just annoying to read, good job you've accomplished that!
