Hey, basically i'm perma banned for no reason, so i sent this e-mail to Treyarch (no reply yet but if i get one i'll post it here)


Dear Treyarch,

I'm sure you've been getting a lot of e-mails regarding the recent "Banhammer" on a vast majority of Blacks Ops players. I recently went on Black Ops and found that "the server was down"; which after visiting your site was confirmed to be a mistake. I proceeded to search for a reason for this server problem and stumbled upon a thread in "The Tech Games" forum (link: Forums/viewtopic/t=641762.html).

Now I know that the information here was written by an un-official, however what he says and the evidence he uses to back it up seems sound. Basically what I think he's saying is that, if someone joins a gpd game (not sure what gpd stands for unfourtunatly) that has been set up by someone else they get banned for 48 hours, (why unsuspecting players who just happen to join these games get banned i'm unsure but i'm also inexperienced with this kind of buissness) people who set up these gpd lobbies get perma banned.

I'm not sure to whether I may have joined a gpd lobby or not as i'm unsure of what one is and i'm certain I didn't set one up (unless it can be done accidentially, then i assure you that it was not intentional). I recieved the "servers down" message 3 days ago and still have not been able to play online on Black Ops (all other games work online), now i'm not really sure what's happened but I was just checking whether or not i've been perma banned, and if there is any way to get unbanned (i'm willing to buy a webcam video my Xbox 360 whilst on Black Ops). However, I would greatly like to play it again as all my friends are playing it and I seem a little left out...

I DID NOT use any gpds or any other form of modding and got perma banned, may have been because friend hosted one and i joined.

Anyone else get Perma banned when they shouldn't have? If i get unbanned i will mention your names! (don't say you did if you didn't as it would most likely get me into trouble > )
