You said tha last time the planets aligned was in the dinosaur ages? And then say it happens every 500 years? The dinosaurs have been gone for a bit longer than 500 years, buddy.

And what would the planets aligning do with anything, their hundreds of MILLIONS of miles away from each other,and I'm sure retrograde motion wouldn't allow them to be perfectly parrallel. If they by some rare chance did indeed line up, it would be little more than a solar or lunar eclipse(those happen once or twice a year), considering the earth isnt the last of our 8 planets, its the third or fourth...

Thats why I don't believe it.

And btw, for the world to merely cease to be... Ridiculous... its 4.6 billion years old, I'm sure it can survive an earthquake. It survived a planetessant the size of mars crashing into it, it can survive its own natural throws.

Well what I meant by the dinosaurs part was it had been like 500 years old when the dinosaurs were around. Im saying when the dinosaurs were around the planets aligned and then the meteor hit. I'm not saying 500 years ago the dinosaurs were alive. That would be dumb. Im saying that every 500 years the planet would align. 2012, 21, 12 is when it will happen.
And btw, 4.6 million years is old and I'm not saying just earthquakes. Below Yellowstone National park is a huge magma chamber. If it were to erupt it would be the worlds largest volcano/volcano explosion in the world. History channel had proved that. If it were to explode the ashes would spread from Yellowstone to New York, North Carolina. Basicly the East coast. Then the ashes would kill us by us breathing them and if we were in houses it would collapse the house. That is how heavy ashes are. So yeah basicly the whole world would be crumbled by Nature.
The Ring of Fire is a ring around the pacific ocean. It is basicly called the Ring of Fire because that ring is made of volcanos and fault lines. That would kill Japan along with China because it is so close, California (Whats left of it because the San Andreas Fault line would react and cause a huge earthquake like in 1905.) along with the other states beside it, and South America (Chile being the main one. Their country goes aline the Ring of Fire.) So that would demolish them.

Russia would be hit with whatever climate they have their. Europe would be hit by huge earthquakes to since the coast of europe is nearly 1000 feet away from the Atlanic Techtonic Plate. Africa is a problem though. Middle of the Pangea theory and now they could be the middle of 2012 and not get hit as badly.
In the movie "2012" Africa only rose up and didn't get hit. Now why I belive that could happen now is because they are always in the middle.
Pangea was the 1 continent back before the dinosaurs. Africa was in the middle of this continent.

So therefor almost all of the world would be hit by Nature's destruction.

but scientists have found a Really big meteor that is headed for earth and is supposed to hit in like 2027 but the russians might shoot a missle at it to knock it of course.

Nasa is a complete failure. I beleive in the movie because they have actual information mixed with myths. Yes then that is awesome. Nasi is a failure because they rely on computers to detect. Computers are not reliable. So yeah. With...i can go on and on but you see the point would be proven so many times.

What do you expect them to use besides computers to setect things?
The naked eye?
