Well for one, just because the mayan calander ends doesnt mean the world ends, it means that the calander starts a new cycle(the mayan calander is what the 2012 theory is about.

And for 2, the planets may "align", but for a meteor to be magically thrown off course, thats proposterous, and i realise that it would make a perfect path to earth, but what about the meteor belt, the meteor would hit the meteor belt, and explode on some of the bigger meteors.

also, the mayan calendar = not our calendar. why are we flipping out?

well the mayan calander has predicted almost every human and natural disaster. It even predicted 9/11

well, even if the world is set to end in 2012, in the bible there is the rapture, where jesus comes down and sends all the believers up to heaven with him, with everyone else to suffer.
