Ok I have been at this for 3 days reading and making sure the info I was finding was consistent. I have done to many mods before and learned that not everyone who makes a Video or Tutorial knows what they are doing...Sorry if I'm taking the easy way out, but I cant spend anymore time reading, my back hurts from soldering and sitting at this laptop for the last 3 days..PLEASE HELP ANSWER MY QUESTIONS.

So here I am, sitting with a Jtag box. At first I followed the directions from the Tutorial that I used to wire it up...It had me install XBR. Well NXE worked fine, but when I would boot up Xell it would error.

So I went on the hunt again to find yet another tutorial...Found one that had me install Freeboot and Xellous...I now have a dash that shows the Kinect ad. I got all the files off Xbns...

So a few Questions:

1.I cant play my back-ups it picks it up as a DVD.. Why? Do I need to flash the DVD too? I thought the Jtag took care of all that.

2. Is an internal drive(xbox 360 HD) required to install XeXmenu and the like ,or can I somehow use my External Hard Drive?

3.Whats the purpose of dashboard loaders?

All this Jtag stuff is new to me...I remember the days of XBOX and just ftp this and ftp that...

MB - Xenon
DVD - Samsung TS-H943 M28

I have a 1g thumb drive handy...Will that work for anything? Can I atleast get to run my Back-up's?

I do have a 360 HD in my unmodded "Play Online box"...Can I somehow use that for the moment and then transfer everything over to run on my external? And return the 360 HD to the original box.

1. you need to flash your drive too, only if you want to play burned games, jtagging doesn't do anything to your drives ability to play burned discs.

2. you can use anything that has enough space to load things onto, in you take abart your retail 360 hdd, then you will find it is only a SATA drive, so you could hook up any sata hdd and use that. But you CAN use a usb external to load things off of.

3.to get newer dashboard versions/ better (such as fsd has xlink to make it easier)

and to answer your second post; yes your normal xbox's hdd will work, the hdd doesnt in any way effect your xbox's ability to connect to XBL, or weather your console is banned or not.

hope i answered all of your questions 8)
