Dam..I dont want to spend any more money. Not the time of the year for that...So if I understand correctly, the 360 is just like the XBOX and everything needs to be on the internal drive as far as apps and such?

Is there a way for me to atleast boot the Game ISO's that I already have off an External HD in my present situation?

Also, I guess it wouldnt be too hard to put one of the other already flashed Toshiba DVD drives in there now that its Jtaged since I have an incompatible SATA chipset to flash the Sammy but can flash Toshiba's. I guess thats a temp fix. Can someone point me in the direction of a Tutorial to clone my Sammy for a Toshiba?

I know I could find all this info by searching around and I greatly appreciate everyone's help, its saving me a lot of time. I have clients laptops to repair and I cant be playing with this toy all day.

LOL, did you even read my post? NO, no internal needed. YES, just put the games files in a folder like c(example):/jtag/games/blackops/all .ff and xex files.
If you want to put in a new drive ether way you will need to hook up the new drive to your computer to change its dvd key to your xbox's dvd key.

The apps can be ran and installed onto my USB? So your saying to put the XeXmenu and say GOD2ISO on my 1g thumb drive and put the games on my External and I can go from there?

Sorry I was thrown off by everyone else saying I was screwed...

yea, just put xexmenu on your flash drive, and your games files on your external, in folders that correspond with their names.

I suggest buying a bigger external, make sure it has a fast read/write speed. If any game that you put in your jtag shows up as a dvd you need to reflash, you flashed the wrong osig on. You don't have to use lpt or usb/spi to reflash just flash 360. To get the osig if you don't already have it you'll probably have to open up your xbox and look at the sticker on top.

You need to flash your dvd drive to play your back up games bro. Then you need a thumb drive or flash drive. At least a 16 GB. That will give you enough room to store one game, all of your updates, xex menu , ect... Just keep going man. Your on the right track. So close you dont even know man

I have a 1Tb 7200Rpm 32MB cache external, I think thats big enough... I havent flashed anything but the NAND, DVD drive is untouched. And yea, no worries, I still have yet to put it back together.
