Probably just making them more powerful or a bigger range, or radius, no ones exactly sure.

Der Riese is in two places in Germany which stretches to a mountain to Riesa Germany were several of the experiments that lead to us going into space later on. One scientist (which i will find his name) used pressure chambers on jews in "Der Riese" and went on after the war to make the pressurized space suit.
