Depends what he has done. BTW OP there is no such thing as a "perma ban" a ban is a ban. A suspension is what you mean, which can be for a set period of time.

I do not agree with games publishers and makers banning people from xbox live for boosting or even taking advantage of glitches in the game that were there because they did not fully test the game. People pay for a service and for a large degree people should be able to play however they want. Under UK law if I got banned for example boosting I would sue them for a refund and I would win.

I do agree with them about banning consoles that are flashed etc though, even though I have a jtag and a flashed one myself, I do not use them for online use and any game that I play online I just buy.

I think it is good that they are resetting the boosters now, I have so far played for 5 hours and not found 1 booster. Starting to like it a bit more now, hated it at first. I id have 45 days playing time on modern warfare 2 and it was time to let it go lol
